I haven't done much with my RC in a long time and now I need level 50 to finish devious minds quest. What would be the best way for me to raise it? I was thinking of using abyss to do the best rune I can make.

Yep, go with the fire runes and duelling rings, unless you want to attempt ZMI runecrafting. It would be the greatest experience per hour, but I'm not sure what your losses would be compared to the losses with fire runes. You would also need Ouriana teleport on the Lunar spells for it to be worth your while (ZMI).

Seeing as I haven't done the quest for lunar magic I will do fires, thanks guys.

I know I said I needed level 50 for a quest, but if I wanted to keep training rc would this method be best untill I could double nat or is there a better way further down the road?

With 57 summoning you can use a Graahk to craft natures which gives great profit and good xp. Once you get to 68-75 switch to the ZMI and do that till 91 runecrafting. It profits a bit and is the fastest xp in the game.
