Hello... Once again.

 

 

 

I'm trying to delete the setup program for SopCast (some of you maybe know of it), but it refuses me to do so. The program stopped working a couple of days ago (never happend before) so i thought i'd uninstall it and install it again... But it couldn't be deleted since some files had mysteriously disappeared (i don't know how that happend).

 

It annoys the [bleep] out of me, would this be IRL i'd take a hammer and crush it... But you can't do that... blablabla.

 

I've tried: Unlocker, Dr Delete, Move on boot and of course regular delete. The file is not in use btw. But nothing works... If anyone could tell me how to remove this crap file i'll get you a pint of bitter.

I've used this in the past and it usually clears stuff up.

I can't uninstall this program as it can't find the uninstaller for it.

 

But more specifically i want to delete the setup file i mentioned earlier (the exe).

"Access denied".

Is this the whole error message? Are you the Administrator? You could try deleting the file in safe mode or deleting using the command prompt.

@Varn: Yep thanks. I forgot about safe mode. Managed to remove the file atleast.

 

I can't install it tho, guess i'll create another account and install it there for when i need to use it. And yes, i'm admin.

I suppose my question is solved. But if anyone wants to have a go on solving - installing SopCast on my account, be my guest =)

 

When installing it says;

 

Error opening file for writing:

 

C:....SopCast[Caution: Executable File]

 

 

 

Options are "abort" "retry" or "ignore". But nothing works. As i said, otherwise i'll just create another account.

Before you make another account try running CCleaner and see if it clears it up.

Eh right.

 

So i thought it would be working with another account... But no, i get the same message...

 

 

 

Edit: Right i went and tried system restore (15 days back) and now it's working.
