superaymond
i just bought a new laptop and it only has only one drive i am trying to divide it so that there is a lot more room in the new drive (D) than C drive. i went through the usual vista partition process that i learned off google. but for some reason, i only can partition 74GB. I checked C drive. it has 220 gb and only used 32 gb. I am trying to get 140gb in d drive and the rest in c drive. Dark Phoenix Clan Site
runescapeloser22
You could use Norton PartitionMagic. I've used it to partition my 400GB external HD before, so it works with big numbers.
Dracion1
I'd avoid anything Norton if I was you. It could be that some of your files are fragmented and perhaps scattered around the drive. Try de-fragmenting with Defraggler (much better than the windows one) then give it another try. "In the beginning, the universe was created. Sbrideau
It might be the MFT (Master File Table). If I recall correctly, there's always some MFT at the middle of the partition/drive. The window's partitionner can't move that.
