Cooking skillcape

Featured Replies

Yes, another person going for 99 cooking

Just feel like having a skill cape :3

But what would be the best way to get to 99?

Swordfish seems like the way to go because of the 2gp difference between raw and cooked, but the burn rate will probably be pretty high

Currys are 200gp profit per, but are impossible to buy uncooked

Any other suggestions? My cooking level is 63 btw.

If you use the family crest Gaunlets and the Cooking guild range, You won't lose as much on burnt Swordies, otherwise stick with lobs til a higher level

For my 99 cooking, I did lobs to 85, monks to 94, then sharks to 99.

I ended up actually making money because of the sharks. I'd bought about 20k of them for around 900 each, then some pvp update boosted the price up to 1.2k, so I made off with a huge profit XD

I believe you stop burning swordies (with gauntlets, of course) around 86, so if you're looking to save as much money as possible then it's probably best to do lobs til 86, then swords from that point on.

Good luck ;D

Cook tunas till 75, lobsters to 85, and swordfish the rest of the way. That's my current method ;) Swordfish are about 140xp each, and lobsters 120, so sometimes that extra 20 can be negligible or significant.

I did lobbies until like 85 or 86, then swordies until about 90-91, then monks until 94, then sharks the rest of the way (using cooking guants), but if you're on a budget, I wouldn't do sharks. When I got 99, I lost about 750k from 98-99.
