September 10, 200916 yr It's the same, just that it's harder to get Rex in (He has better AI) and prime tends to get you on some safe spots, but it is still possible
September 11, 200916 yr Yes, I did it today. Difference is that it's a lot harder to get Rex safespotted without letting him hit you once with melee (hits usually 0s, though). And also that you need to be more careful when luring Rex after spawn. If you see Prime on sight, wait until he goes farther. And when waiting for spawn you should stay closer to west coast than before so that Prime doesn't spot you. And definitely take ranging weapon (crystal bow is the best choice because of its long range and good accuracy) and karil's top with you so you can kill prime once it goes on you. I prefer nowadays being verac's mage when soloing. In that way you don't waste as much prayer while killing Prime (happened to me 4 or 5 times that he got on me) and also you can have magic prayer on to be "safe" when luring Rex without worrying prayer points.
