Slayer Points

Well I don't have a slayer helm sadly, I haven't done much slayer since the new system came out.

I recently just got enough points for the helm and accidentally used it on exp (they really need a confirmation message..) and I'm pretty pissed.

I want to know how many tasks it's going to take me for another, I would do it myself but I don't know the amount of points I get for like every 10th task and stuff.

Can anyone tell me tell me how many tasks I'm going to need until I have enough for another helm

-I've currently done 24 tasks

-Currently have 4 points

-I use the Shilo slayer master

-I have no plans to cancel anything or buy anything else

They really need a confirmation message.. I didn't even notice I bought exp until I tried to make a helm and it didn't work

Yes and no.

It would help on the big rewards, but imagine having to click twice as many times to get the runes.

Sounds like a mistake on your part. I never had a problem picking a reward from the screen. Remember that with the new update you have to be extra careful about when and what you click. I can click on the "x" to close my bank and move my mouse and a potion will get banked.

Just have to be careful with most things.

If you just want slayer points and not XP, which before you get the helm is probably advisable then do this:

Tasks 1-9 use a low slayer master but not the Burthorpe one. I used the Canifis one.

Task 10 use Duradel/Lapalok.

Tasks 11-19 use the lower master again.

Task 20 use Duradel/Lapalok

You end up doing a few more tasks, but the points will flood in as the majority of your tasks will be over in 15-20mins.

If you are serious about slayer then you want to ban monsters as you go, this taking priority over the helm, although it is highly unlikely you will get a task you wish to ban on the few you do for the Shilo master. I'd say ban iron and steel dragons as a definite. The other 2 are your choice but I'd advise Warped Terrorbirds (also seems to ban Tortoises) and probably Skelly Wyverns.

After the helm, get the rings. They may seem naff but the teleport to the desert and the teleport to a fairy ring (Relleka slayer cave) do come in handy for non-slayer things. Treasure trails and quests etc.

The fletching ability isn't really useful but I'd get it for the sake of completion. Don't get it before you get the bans/helm/rings though.

After that use the points for slayer dart runes. I make a fortune out of this, but I am a hardcore slayer. Even if you are casual it's a nice bonus. I'd also advise leaving 60 or 90 points spare just in case you want a skip a task. For example if it's peak times I will skip hellhounds as they get packed, however if they are not packed they are a source of fast XP.
