September 12, 200916 yr Has anyone used a flash cart with their DS before and can they tell me if it acts like a game cartrage in that it leaves no trace on the system after you remove it? Meaning I can use my system as a DSi with no mods if I remove the Acekard/insert an offical Nintendo DS game card? And I'll be able to download Nintendo system updates without worrying about blowing up my system? I was looking into getting one and this was my main question. If this is against the rules in any way (because it's homebrew or whatever) then please lock it. sig by Soa.....tip.it times.....art & mediadeviantart/flickr/last.fm/steam/twitter/tumblr/youtube
September 13, 200916 yr I'm sure that the normal flashcarts have no effect on the DS. As for the DSi I have no idea. The people here would have a much better idea : http://www.gbatemp.net/ I suggest asking on the forums.
September 13, 200916 yr Yeah I don't have any knowledge on the DSi and homebrew. On the DSLite it doesn't have any effects at all, but I'm not sure what the difference is with system updates and such.

I heard some system updates actually block flashcarts, although fixes are underway or completed. I was going to eat hot dogs for dinner tonight. I think I will settle for cereal. September 13, 200916 yr Author I read that DSi 1.4 blocked them but they've fixed it now with AceKard at least. sig by Soa.....tip.it times.....art & mediadeviantart/flickr/last.fm/steam/twitter/tumblr/youtube
