____
hm, if you bought the music legally, then they should have no id3 tags what so ever. when you ripped them, if your ripping application couldn't find out what songs they were then you should have no tags or just blank tags. You got no chance other than manual editing now. Have fun.
battletrax
There are a lot of tagger programs that do exactly what you want. Of the free ones, the one that I like the most is at musicbrainz.org

____
That's odd. Music Brains always failed to identify my mp3's :-? And I've tried other various apps to do the same job but whatever :\
Mercifull
Select the song in iTunes and click on "Get track names" Mercifull <3 Suzi "We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. biox
I've always just edited my tags as I've listened to my mp3's, noticing one-by-one that they were named poorly - using winamp, that is.
Mercifull
I've always just edited my tags as I've listened to my mp3's, noticing one-by-one that they were named poorly - using winamp, that is. Every single song ive ripped to my computer using iTunes or downloaded from the music store has never had wrong or incomplete tags. Apart from the odd few songs from the Kazaa days a few years back i dont think ive ever had to edit the tags :-/ Mercifull <3 Suzi "We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. Mercifull
Are you asking me to admit that I download music illegally? No I am just saying that all music that I personally have downloaded from iTunes (have not used legal torrents and/or other music services) have all had complete tags. The poster of this thread mentioned legal downloading for use on his iPod so i assumed that he would have used iTunes as you cannot use protected wma files (the format pretty much every other online store uses) on iPods. biox
Alright, took it the wrong way I guess.. I haven't looked at iTunes too in-depth (my sister has a Shuffle so I have at least seen it) but I assumes it uses an online database..?
