83 Slayer or 85 Slayer?

Actually, you don't need prayer potions for mages, if you play it right. I've never used any prayer potion, and I killed my fair share of mages.

 

If you're referring to killing Saradomin mages in the main room that are engaged in combat... you kill these far slower and actually make less money than using prayer on the Zamorak mages.

 

 

 

If you're referring to prayer flashing, I've found this difficult as of late. Even still, it requires constant attention, making it easy to burn out very quickly.

 

 

 

107 d boots and still going strong.I don't know why people complain about pray flicking to be hard work(I understand that the latest updates messed it up a bit) but you are at the computer anyway.

Get 85. You get 83 on the way, and a higher level is always better. Not to mention, if you have no money at all, you can kill Abyssal Demons*.

 

If you dont have any money you cant kill Spiritual Mages*.

mages ftw since u can mostly 3-4 hit them and abyssals take longer with 150 hp, 15+ abyssal tasks and only 2 whips. i can finish mage task with only 4 p pots used, so even if you get 1 boot per trip more then pays for 4 prayer pots.

To be completely honest. . . Kill Green Dragons for cash. Do Slayer because you enjoy it. Camping for drops isn't that great.

Demons drop them in about 1/300, don't remember the exact number i heard. They also drop other thigns such as decent runes to alch, magic runes to sell, Pure Essence, and charms for summoning.

 

 

 

Average for d boots is more like 1-110: I have a very consistent drop rate of this over 55 pairs of d boots. Whip is more like 1-450 according to zarfot.

Ya wasn't to sure on them. But you're probably on a decent streak atm. I hear talk of them being 1/200. Meaning you average about 1 a task. I just did a task of 189 and got nothing then did another task of 174 and got 2 on the one task. Brings my total to 18 drops and only been getting them since 90 slayer. So 18 tasks of them sound about right to me.

 

 

 

For the whips i was trying to make a close guess. Asked in TSG and got result from 1/300 to 1/1300. No way to be completely accurate but you can get real close.
