easonadam
currently there's an offer for students to upgrade to windows 7. I was wondering if people with experience of it would recommend paying that price? currently using vista.

JoeDaStudd
Trouble is its only the upgrade package I amazon have the full product for only £64. A windows key is currently £60+ on its own so it would cost you £90 using the upgrade, but £60 for the full package. If you are a part of the MSDN Alliance, a program for tech students in college, you could get windows 7 for free and as a plus the License never expires. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/academic/dd759402.aspx Quote - Revenge is such a nasty thing that only breeds more vengeful souls, but in some situations revenge does not even need to be sought out, but only bided. Nadril
This offer is for US Uni students as well. I got my copy pre-ordered for $30.
Sbrideau
Will be to Canadian College and Uni students starting on october 22 too. All I have to do is to get a college email, since they just took our emails when we started college.
Makoto_the_Phoenix
It's a good offer. If you can join the MSDN Academic Alliance (which I believe was mentioned previously), not only is it free, but the license won't expire either. Even if you have to pay for it, paying only $30 is a helluva better deal than paying $250. Go for it.
