'kay. Im wondering two things:

1) are they allowed or, like Game ROMS, not allowed to be discussed.

2) if they are, are there any links to a good program for "Ripping" a youtube video into my hard drive. Since I have bad internet it becomes problematic when I have to wait 20mins to reload a 10min video that I accidentally clicked away from or tutorials since my computer also isn't good with RAM.

If its not to be discussed, Lock Away then. :)

yeah I'm pretty sure they arent against the rules, and you can get one just by searching the firefox addon database. There are hundreds that do the job perfectly well.
