April 6, 201016 yr Someone really needs to make a video. Please. Easy solution to that would be to make one yourself ;) No. You make another one Nieck or Jieef.
April 7, 201016 yr i think the primary "scary factor" in the last movie posted, is that the piano is slightly out of tune, therefore giving a "ringing" aucustic, rather than clean piano sound. I'm sure i could just use the hungarian minor scale, or Aeolian #4 scale, instead of using a theoretical anomaly in teh form of a hexatone scale. basically, you could also simply modulate a disharmony with broken chords and suspended chords, why overcomplicate? :grin:I later figured out that it's really just a harmonic minor scale without a fourth and with the seventh raised a semitone. My knowledge of theory is very limited really; all I've learned is from a relatively mediocre high school music theory course, and a bit of extra independent study. Most of my playing is based on intuition, and that's how I made this. I don't really know what you mean by modulate a disharmony, though I would assume it means switch keys to create dissonance... To give an example of my lack of theory and use of instinct: I tend to start off most chord progressions that aren't obnoxiously happy with a diminished chord, and very often have suspended fourths resolve to their original triad
