Mining

Hello. Thank you for clicking this thread :P

I need help and advice with getting my next goal of 99 Mining. I have another month of Fishing to go for 99 Fishing then i am balancing stats and heading for 99 Mining.

This is where i need YOUR help. :)

STATS:

Current Level: 62

Current XP: 342,192

Cash available to spend: Up to 20M

I plan on buying a Dragon Pickaxe and i am Anti-Stealing Creation

I would like to know my best options. Making money IS NOT something i am looking for. Mainly speed.

Currently i am thinking of:

- Power Mining Iron to 80

- Power Mining Granite to 80, 90 or 99

- Living Rock Caverns

Can someone please explain and tell me:

XP rates of all 3 per hour and detailed explanations on the Rock Caverns.

Feel free to add me to give some advice :)

AnthonyWL / Anthony L 99

Thank you in advance

-Anthony

living rock caverns with the gold is 10kxp an hour less, but around 300k cash an hour more.

if cash is not an option granite all the way, but living rock caverns is still the better choice

As far as I know, powermining Iron nets you about 30k-35k exp per hour, and you can even get to 40k exp per hour if you have absolutely perfect timing.

This is if you are on a full world.

I'm F2P. :wall:

I'm guessing it's probably more though.

I posted earlier but my internet lost connection just as i wanted to post. Guess the post never got...posted.

Anyway i said that you should check out my guide on Iron Mining. Altought you don't have the requirements for banking its still the best spot for Powermining. Do this till 80.

When you reach 50 you should do a Combo of Concentrated gold and Granite. Granite can be upto 60k exp an hour if you're fast (Check out Hedgehog1's guide, its one of the best) and Concentrated Gold is about 50k exp an hour with a nice bit of profit.

Thank you.. Your Iron Mining Guide is good :) I may just use that - all the banking. So i should get more than 33k per hour on a populated world powermining. I may get close to 40k per hour.

Does anybody know if you do lazy granite it is equal too or greater that the Iron?

I did lazy Granite and got about 45k xp/hr, that's with losing focus here and there and feeding my zammy hawk I had with me.

Strike out iron completely, there is no purpose.

Granite is 60k/hr for most people, but if you're really good at it you can break 70k/hr and even reach 80k. This, however, runs a loss (since you will need to pay for humidify runes/water runes for enchanted water tiara somehow).

Living Rock Caverns (gold) is 40k/hr-45k/hr with 300k profit. It is also CONSIDERABLY easier (the 70k+ granite method involves clicking nearly every second).

So while Living Rocks would take 2x-3x longer than granite, it is easier and it makes more money (which I know you said not to mention, but the difference is so huge it is worth mentioning anyway). Pick your poison.

So in you saying that would it good if i powered out Granite until 85-90.

THEN maybe hit Living Rock Caverns for the last 9-14?

Problem is i don't know what Living Rock Caverns are. What you do and how to get there :| For the last 5 months i have not left Catherby or the Fishing Guild.
