Currently 273ea (mid) so double astrals results in 546gp return per pure essence crafted. Close second is Deaths which are currently 454ea (mid) but are obviously higher xp per trip. I've found Astral crafting is quicker than going through the abyss, but not sufficiently to make up for the difference in xp per ess crafted. At current prices though Astral crafting is definitely the better option for cash. When you repair your pouches through the abyss make sure you remember to craft deaths then! D Jay99 Posted October 23, 2009 Share Posted October 23, 2009 I was able to craft 3000-3200 ess/hour making astrals, which averages out to about 26.5-28.3k xp/hour (including pouch repair runs). You have to be pretty fast to get that xp rate at the abyss, and astrals are better profit too. They're definitely worth crafting, even over zmi. Here's a rough idea: 82 to 91: 3,481,744 xp Assume: 3000 essence an hour for astrals = 26.1k/hr xp, 340gp profit per essence, 1020k/hr, and 133 hours to 91. 135.6m profit.Assume: 3000 essence an hour for ZMI, @ roughly 18xp per essence = 54k/hr xp, 0 profit per essence, 64 hours to 91. Then you make double nats with the 69 hours you saved. Assume: 3000 essence an hour making natures = 406gp profit per essence, 1218k/hr - 69 hours of that is 84m profit. So doing ZMI to 91, then making natures with the time it saved you costs you roughly 51.6m in opportunity cost. Yes, if you want to maximize your profit, do double astrals to 91. I don't care about cash.If you end up having to do Astrals past 91 you might as well just switch to Natures. You get more GP and then you could just buy the Astrals you need for stringing. Depending on how much cash and how willing i am, I might just do a mixture of Natures and ZMI for 91-99. But at 61 RC I'm far from being able to see where I'll be when i train RC. For now though I'll train it with ZMI and a full bank.
