Danqazmlp
Has anybody actually beaten the Computer on this game? I find it incredibly hard to do. I really like the game, its incredibly strategic, but it is just so very very hard. I always find that i have an area in which i think I'm safe. I will then go on the attack, and all of a sudden the enemy will counter attack and wipe me out. Anybody have any tips for it? Want to be my friend? VARN
I have beaten the computer Tips: every one of your worlds that are connected to a world that borders an enemy, put one or two (depending on how many enemy bordered worlds they are connected to) fighters, on it you should see no yellow hatching other than the border worlds. When you need to protect a world, do not depend on fighters traveling from enemy bordered worlds because a stellar bomb will prevent movement. After every turn look at the status report, this will tell you lots of information including any projects the enemy has used.
Jimmyw3000
The AI's pretty cool; not too hard but not too easy. I love this game. Tips: Lemme see. Clear systems with no lines through means those systems will still belong to you next turn, Those with yellow lines mean there's a risk they will be lost; darker yellow = greater risk red lines mean they will certainly be lost. Always remember to use your resources, esp Terra-forming(green), defensive net(blue) and stellar(yellow) use the steller bomb on systems with high number of fleets since that results in the opponent losing more ships. decebal
Just tried a full "Tutorial Game" and honestly, the AI is POWERFUL. Seriously, I literally lost 5, yes, 5, systems from just one Tanhausser, which split my "empire" in half. Straight in half. I really need help in this game, I like the concept, but all those wormhole lines are confusing.
Den
Ive never understood Shattered Plans. After the tutorial, I understood less then what I had before i did it. :P The game in general never interested me much. ........::::: Rainy's YouTube Channel - Rainy's Twitter - Rainy's Facebook - Rainy's DeviantArt - Rainy's Tumblr - Rainy's Tip.It Profile :::::......... Stragomagus
The problem I have with the AI is that, for the most part, they will only attack you without the Non-Aggression Pacts. To go even further, at some points in the game the AI will go from 7 fleets a turn to 12 and then upward to 15 or 17 and then practically skip the 20s, while I and one of the other AI will still be well below 10 fleets a turn, or just hitting 10-11.(This implies you are being extremely efficient with the planets you take) This in turn brings me to another point, resources to start out with are almost always in favor of, according to my 100% loss rate, the AI. I am not talking about home planet resources. Not only this, but you are forced into using the NAPs and if you have one of those near you and go after a planet your fleet will be sent back to wherever it came from in favor of the AI, which will in turn screw you over for the rest of the game. The Tannhusers, while being a nice idea, are nearly unblockable when used by the AI. Wait, that isn't all when it comes to these things, due to the effectiveness of these wormholes you are forced to leave behind at least 1 fleet on every world so as not to have your main fleet separated. I think that is my main gripes with the game. Quote - Revenge is such a nasty thing that only breeds more vengeful souls, but in some situations revenge does not even need to be sought out, but only bided. Danqazmlp
It is now my goal to win at least once again the AI on this game. Want to be my friend? VARN
To get more fleets you need to reach a balance in resources; look at the numbers next to fleet production you will see some negative numbers, say it was -2 purple you will need 2 purple to get another fleet per turn. Danqazmlp
Tried twice tonight, lost both. The second i was doing very well, most fleets per turn by two, at war on two fronts but making gains, until I accidentally lost three quarters of my star systems in one turn. Want to be my friend? Danqazmlp
Double post, but i finally won against the AI, and by the end it was just inevitable. I had two fleets of 100+ roaming the map, making 40+ per turn at the end. Want to be my friend?
