Asus DDR3 AM3 moboAMD Phenom II X4 3.0GHz processor4GB RAMRadeon 4870 1GB video card1TB WD Green+more in a pretty Antec Nine Hundred, with a 620W PSU. So here comes my problems: What are some things I need to watch with windows 7 (driver issues, compatibility problem etc...) and some programs I should install onto it (virus protection etc) and the general house-keeping of it? Thanks for your help, I just need to know what to look out for, what to change and all that.
October 28, 200916 yr I would've waited and gotten a PC with a 5xxx series card. Otherwise it's quite a fine build, just be aware that ASUS motherboards aren't exactly known for their stability so don't be surprised if it starts going wrong. Driver compatibility and everything should be absolutely fine for youe hardware. I've never had any issues with ASUS motherboards apart from one which I caused (heatsink which was about 1m away from a cap and was rated as not working with the motherboard anyway).In fact I prefer ASUS motherboards over any other makes I've brought or used as they always come with everything you could need in the box. It's pretty new, but it has a really low memory footprint (it uses like 4,000K on my system) and what I have read has been very promising. The best thing is you don't get any of the stupid BUY NOW adverts like some of the free anti-virus software out there.

I say like Nadril too about the antivirus, Microsoft security essentials looks like a very good antivirus on first view, I'm trying it on the laptop and will probably return sometime in the futur saying what I think of it. Security essentials looks like the best antivirus software Ms ever made.

October 29, 200916 yr Author I'll get avast for now, probably. Anything else? I was told ASUS make the best motherboards, by quite a few people. What do you think of my case choice by the way? I would of gone for the HAF 922 (same price) but it didn't look as good and it was too tall for where I keep my computer.
