Pack yak uses

I recently attained the level of 96 Summoning, which gives me the ability to summon the beloved Pack Yak. Although I love it already (getting 90 prayer goes really fast  ), I'm looking for some more interesting uses for it. Read: making money with it. It will probably come down to (eventually solo) boss hunting, but since 96 summoning is such a high request, I can't find guides anywhere where they go in detail with Pack Yak setups. So now my question is: which bosses/other ways to make money are the best with a Pack Yak and equally important: can you show/tell me a setup how to that activity? For your info: I'm maxed melee/ranged, 91 magic, 90 prayer (or at least it will be 90 soon <3: ) and have acces to 70M cash, full Bandos, Full Armadyl, SGS, ... (let's say everything except for spirit shields).

Nice job!

Runite mining is better with a pack yak; I'm sure you know any item retrieval far from a bank is much better served. That said, pack yak is a lot -less- important now for runite mining at dark beasts, since you can access those MUCH more easily from a bank as teleport crystals have been updated. Other places, like wilderness, ice trolls, etc. are far from banks, and so pack yak is very helpful.

Killing anything that drops somethign marginally good every kill is perfect. This includes GWD bosses (like Ourg Bones), Dragons, DKs (for their skins), etc. Another great one is giant tortoises (with the chimes) for their shells, which are very valuable.

Unfortunately, most people with your levels don't collect seconds, but many of them (like whiteberries) are far easier to collect when you have access to the yak.

Anywhere you kill things and normally bank their drops. Most dragons are like this. Also the same with bosses.

I would worry more about the DK bones (10k each) then the hides.

If i had a Yak i would use it on my slayer tasks where i can't/don't need a familiar. Like those Iron dragons so i can bank the bones. Abberant Spectres to bank the herbs and other good items.

Pretty much anywhere you can think of. The possibilities are endless.

Thanks for the advice guys. I indeed didn't think of the functionality of the scrolls outside boss-areas. You guys have given me a new use already! ^^ Now I'm looking for an Armadyl, DKS and TDS set-up...

DKs setup would just be the guthans setup (counters the lack of healing familiar) from the tip.it guide.

Use it as you would a war tort, only take scrolls and keep some free room in your inventory for the drops.

Bones and hides are both worth banking as there both 100% which makes it over 16k per kill without taking into account any other drops.

Drops like fremmy armour and battle staffs are worth banking (sell or alch later).

[hide=Drops]

  • Dragon Axe x11
    Berserker Ring x9
    Warrior Ring x8
    Seercull
    Dragon Med
Dragon Boots x4 - all less then 30 kc
    Godsword Shard (bandos)
    Granite Maul x 3

Solo only - doesn't include barrows[/hide][hide=Stats]
