gorgoroth
I've been thinking about this, long and hard (no TWSS pl0x). Only reason i want 85 Herblore is to help me out with furture Dragon Tasks. With Superantofire Potion (or whatever its called) i will be able to use a Zammy Spear which will speed any Dragon Task up immensly. Although this is going to be very costly it would be very handy. I have no idea on what to make or what the losses will be. At the moment im doing Slayer and i already have enough herbs to get me close 67 so at the end of 90 Slayer i should be able to get atleast 70 Herblore. I realise that i would just buy a DFS or something else with the money but i really feel like getting 85 Herblore would be a better option. Can any of you offer me some helpfull advice? Advice on what to make (last time i heard serum 207 was the best, is this still so?). What are the losses per gp? MaxwellsHammer
Well as a start you can use Link to try and calculate the gp/exp costs of different potions, only beware that the prices on there might be out of date. Also unless you're willing to run between a shop a couple hundred times to get all your water filled vials, I'd reccomend putting in a couple of vial orders in the GE at max price asap and just pray that you get all the vials you need by the time you want to train herblore. At the moment I managed to get about 12k vials with 4 slots of 5k vials each I put in about a month ago, but I'm still waiting for another 5k before I can finish my 84 herblore goal. <_< Also you're right that serum 207 is the cheapest gp/exp ratio, but first I'm not sure if ashes actually sell in the GE, and second it is really slow exp. Ultimately the best thing you can do is watch the market carefully, and try to buy out a herb/secondary at min that's just finished crashing or a potion that is rising quicker in price than it's materials cost. I managed to get a pretty sweet deal on super energy potions when mort myre shrooms were selling for ~1k, and on top of that super energy potions were being bought out, so I've only lost about 10gp/xp which I think is a pretty good deal  Anyways I'd recommend either making super attack, super energy, prayer or serum 207 depending on the market, as serum 207 is dead cheap to make and the other 3 are all in high demand as well as having a lower gp/exp ratio. The other option of course would be to wait for the demand in the herb market to crash, and then buy up your supplies after it's stabilized at more reasonable ratios, but with the constant inflation and the potential new potions that will come out, I'm not really sure if prices will ever drop back down
la la la
If you only want 85 for super antifire potions, try brewing some greenman's ale (m) and getting 83 Herblore. It saves about 10m at current prices, and you don't need to make more than 10 super antifires at a time anyways. For getting the level up, the link above is great. Also remember that you can make super energies and use papayas on them at level 84 to make special restore potions.
