October 23, 200520 yr From what i gather, claws are pretty terrible weapons. You have to use both hands, and its pretty weak, but stronger than a dagger. The only advantage is speed, but even then it pales in comparison to a dagger, which has the bonus of being poisoned. So i tought about ways to improve it, and came up with the idea of giving claws two hits per attack. Of course, this could mean the strenght could be weakened a bit further, but i think that if this were to happen, claws would be used more often.

December 30, 200718 yr or even better, allowing them to be worn in the gloves space, as protection, and when you click to equip, you can choose either as a wep or as def. and i like ur idea 2! December 30, 200718 yr That would be a nice little improvement, but the fact is that Dragon trumps Rune any day, so, as PlutoniumCross pointed out, Dragon claws would result in a much fairer comparison. However, I do agree that the claws should be ÃÆÃâÃâüber fast, but not particularly damaging. I'm talking about a melee version of throwing knives here. Also, give them minor defensive bonuses, similar to defenders. Oh, and add in all of the metal types. It doesn't matter if they're unsmithable because that would make them interesting. ~ W ~
December 31, 200718 yr I agree. I think they should be like throwing knives. One claw hits then the other hits also immedately after. Of course if any addition to claws is added, that would mean removing the spec. Rune knives don't have a spec, neither should claws. Of course you get a shield while using knives, so maybe they should also act as a defender? (Not as great bonuses, maybe bronze-black=steel def and mith+=black def?) ~It's Super Effective! January 1, 200818 yr I was thinking about this last night, maybe there should be knuckles, too, because claws are their own genre of weapon. And claws are so pointless, they should really change them, I agree.

Little thing called Rune claw Special attack, if you havent noticed most of the weapons that are dragon have been released due to the rune version of the weapons not having a special attack. No Dragon throwing axe's why? We have Rune throwing axe spec. Nuff said.
January 1, 200818 yr Yes, claws do need an update. I like the throwing-knife speed idea...People use throwing knives to train ranging, so people probably would use claws to train melee stats. Now, for the matter of the special attack...If dragon claws are ever released, this update should be done at the same time. Along with that, the rune special attack should be given to dragon claws. If dragon claws are never going to be released, I suppose the special attack could be changed. Perhaps make it kind of like the dragon dagger spec, except without the increased accuracy and damage. January 1, 200818 yr Maybe, i do think that having two claws for one attck is slightly pointless. Nobody hits anyone with two hands at the same time(usually). Hmmm.... I need a new siggy, get round to doing it later. Probably.
