A couple quick questions...

1. I've been wanting to buy a DFS for a while, and just when I got enough spare cash to buy one, the price shot up. So, I've been wondering- is it even worth it? I'm doing slayer right now so I'm wondering which tasks I would use it on, if any.

 

2. I really need to train my range up (It's at a very sad low level of 76..) and I'm wondering what the best method is. I haven't really trained it in 3 or 4 years atleast. Last time I worked on range, iron arrows at ogres was the best way to do it. XD I'm sure there are much, much better ways to train now. I can't afford chins, and I've never done aviansies before. Do I have a high enough level for aviansies? Or is there another way that would be good for me to use instead?

DFS is only worth it if you have low Defense and if you do a lot of Dragon tasks. Soon as you get 85+ Defense you shouldn't need to use it anymore. So i would say it would be a no for you since you have 87 Def.

 

As for Ranging. Try Aviansies in the GWD. There is a link in my sig if you would like a guide.

Honestly, I would spend the money on chinning that you were thinking of spending on DFS. DFS is only worth it for low defense players who don't have 85 Herblore, in my opinion.

DFS should never be used for melee.

 

Use DFS when ranging.

I'm not one to train much in dangerous places. I use black dragons for range training. I use rune compound bow. Good Luck.

Yeah, I'd really like to get one, but summer's end is just such a pain in the [wagon]. I've died doing it several times already, it's really frustrating.

 

Thanks for the tips, everyone. I think I'll probably end up attempting to get the spirit shield *again*. And aviansies for range sounds like fun, but I'll have to try it out before I decide for sure. Thanks again.
