What's the most effective (prefferably afk friendly) method to fletch xp?

 

Currently level 80 - looking for around Level 90.

 

Facts to consider:

depends how afk you want to be, but I am currently (on my other acc, 81 fletch, going for 99) stringing yew longs, as it gives 40k xp per 1k bows that makes a whole 5m while going for 99 :D

Not too fussed on how afk, speed is the main priority for me.

well I can string 1k bows an hour, and its about 147 bows from your level, so if you are ok playing for 140+ hours, then go ahead :D

 

(note, I used tip it's calc, this is result for stringing yl's: '146,878 Yew Longbow, Stringing' so, do if you like!)

Probably dragon darts/arrows.

Can't make either of those.

I'm thinking Rune Dart Tips > Rune Darts would be fast? (Anyone know XP/hr?) Huge GP loss? Are the tips buyable and bolts sellable?

Cutting and stringing yew longbows is the traditional and still very effective method. I can't remember any figures off the top of my head, but it's quite easy. Cutting the logs with stealing creation knives is extremely good XP too (about 75k-95k XP per tool if I remember correctly). Just some things to think about.

honestly.. last time i checked rune darts are a minimal loss.. But try buying some tips in the ge, that will definately slow you down.. maybe try mith of under..? darts/bolts are just ridiculously fast xp

Darts are very appealing, thanks for the suggestion, much appreciated. :)

Going off the suggestions for stringing yew longs, magic longs also profit if the (u) bows and the strings are bought from the GE.

 

Selling the magic longs might be a little of a hassle, but as far as I know, people prefer cutting to stringing since it's a much more AFK friendly task so they end up selling the (u) bows.
