Sry about the pic being abit big... anyway, i was playing gop and mind altar suddently became air altar. this is a bug (obv), no idea why... probably came with the update lol

Some people are taking great advantage of it, but it's fairly old. Can't say it's fun having 6 orbs on the field, though. :P

Anyways, that was a weird glitch.

This glitch ticks me off. There's details on TIF elsewhere how to do it (in some detail).

I've been reporting everyone who has done it. You can too, here's how:

 

In Lobby:

After the teleport appears in the lobby, someone will repeatedly spam their skill cape emote. They will continue to spam it until well after the next game gets going. This person is abusing this bug. Report them for bug abuse.

 

 

In game:

Keep track of the players on the yellow team. Make sure you know exactly who is on that team. If you play the air altar again, there will be a person that wasn't there before. They will have a skill cape on. Report them for bug abuse.

 

 

 

To all of you bug abusers:

I report each and everyone of you I see. I don't enjoy getting a 10 minute penalty for quitting for inactivity because you're a cheater. You are all very easy to spot, and I hope you get the ban hammer.

Also, I will call you out on it. I will make sure everyone in the lobby knows that you're a cheater. What you're doing is no different than the penguin glitchers, or the µ idiots. You may think you're "not gaining any advantage", but you do. You automatically get at least 60 tokens in less than two rounds, forcing your opponents to get 10 minute penalties.

I kinda see this as a "Special Stage" in Great Orb Project, where you can get 6 orbs per team on the field instead of 3.

 

This glitch only sounds like skipping the mind altar, while the rest of the game is normal. So, you can still play the game normally, just no mind altar. (How the heck do you get a 10-min penalty from this?)

 

Also, Jagex had and still is neglecting the Great Orb Project, so it's extremely unlikely that this glitch will be fixed.

When the glitch happens, no one on the non-glitching team is allowed to make a barrier, or have any orbs to touch on the field. They all get automatically booted from the game due to inactivity, and get a ten minute penalty.

 

 

The fact that Jagex won't fix it in the near future makes the game worse off. It also means that people who do it know what they're doing because it's been around a while, and they're not "discovering" it for themselves. This means they're abusing a bug, and deserve to be punished.

STDracula, the mind altar was skipped due to the fact that people glitched it so that they could replay the Air Altar with more orbs to their advantage. However, I think you already know the basics of this bug.

To be honest, I agere with what Sees has said. This isn't a special stage; this is a ridiculous bug being abused (This Is Haxorscape!)

This wasn't intended to be part of the game, and abusing it only makes the situation a lot worse.

And sure, you can score massive orbs in Gop and claim the record of the most orbs scored, but at what price?

 

You take out afascinating altar from the gameplay, you increase the chance of getting innocent people booted (which may also lead to unwanted flaming and hurt feelings), and you abuse a bug.

By doing this, you also encourage others to try it for themselves, and may lead to a chain-reaction and the 6-orb glitch might take over Gop.

 

This bug was never meant to be performed nor added into Gop, and the people who abuse it receive very little respect from me nowadays.

I just hope that someone at Jagex will actually notice the multiple bug reports that Gopers have sent them, because it is ruining Gop.

By the way, this glitch is now "fixed" as you cannot perform emotes in the Great Orb Project waiting lobby.
