December 4, 200916 yr So I'm minning in shilo vilage at the gem rocks. I have 73 mining, an obsidian golem, and a rune pick. I was doing alright, until a guy comes up with a mith pick and 42 mining. He's beating me out on almost all of the rocks, I;m getting about 2 out of 7 of the rocks. How is this possible? Does level and type of pick axe not matter? 99 HP, Attack, Strength, Defence, Summoning, Ranged, Herblore, Prayer, Agility, Magic, Slayer, Fletching, Fishing, Woodcutting, Mining, and Thieving. Glories only improve odds of getting gems as tht added extra when mining. They don't boost mining speed at gem rocks. They don't boost mining speed at gem rocks. ... that mining Gems while wearing a charged Amulet of Glory , significantly decreases the number of "hits" you need to get the Gem? Someone 10 levels higher without a Glory will lose the race with someone who HAS a charged Glory. (Thanks to The Tal Shiar Alliance!) This is the second item in the DYK archives.
