mid way through the new quest and im stuck/confused

 

i just put the imperfect heat orb in the broken globe and pushed it down the hole

the tip.it guides says after this the ice block with the waterfeind and the rune crate should be defrosted

 

but mine isnt defrosted so i dunno what todo

 

can any1 help :(?

nevermind just realised i didnt even need the runes <_<

well same happened to me - I followed the tip.it guide and I've completed the quest and all that, but couldn't freeze that block. meh wont' seem like I'm getting 40 extra laws =/

 

but I would really like to know how it should've done to make that block freeze afterall.

After pushing the block in there put an orb in the room that is next to the room with the ice block. (The room that is to the north on the map)

That happened to me, I kept the orb in the globe holder to the north of that room, and then when I went back down, the ice block was frozen again, but the globe was still in the holder. Just take the globe out and put it back in. The ice will melt.

What's the best weapon to use against the final boss (that isn't a Godsword or something like that)? Does anyone know what it is most susceptible to (crush, slash, stab)?

I was pretty successful using diamond bolts (e) and praying mage. Was easier to kill it than the waterfiends really.

I ended up going with two set-ups...one for the Waterfiends (range prayer, mage defense gear) and one for the boss (melee gear, mage prayer).

 

I was pretty successful with the Abyssal whip, though I should have brought a better shield than just ADFS. Perhaps I need to invest in a true DFS, but since I made it through okay, maybe not?
