Best ways to train herblore to a high level?

Featured Replies

Well I've been away from runescape for about 4 months and now that I'm back I want to train my herblore to around level 90, but have no idea what is the best way to trian in terms of spending my money wisely yet gaining relatively fast xp.

I have 75 herblore and about 120m

Any suggestions on what I should do to train would be great

thanks

It's a bad time to train herblore. With the new extreme potions that came out a few weeks ago, a ton of people are training it and the prices of herbs have skyrocketed.

Unfortunately I'm not sure if you can even get 90 herb right now with 120m, unless maybe you do it the long way by making tar.

^ Gp/xp rates for all tradable potions.

If you're lucky, you may be able to get your hands on some unfinished lantadyme or dwarf weed potions--they're actually cheaper than the herbs right now, and making them into range/antifire potions would be the most efficient way to train for you if it were possible to buy them; however, as you lose significant amounts of money making them into unf pots, good luck trying to buy any.

Range pots are still good buying the clean dwarf weed, so try those for now, but keep an eye on the market in case things change. Harralander tar is viable as well, although slower for xp.

You can also make profits cleaning grimy herbs and reselling clean--Lantadyme and Avantoe are some good ones for that right now. Again, it changes frequently, so keep up with the prices. While you're at it, make sure to get all Penguin Points each week and put them on Herblore.

Also, Manage Thy Kingdom to collect herbs, selling what you're not using and buying more of what you are.

Agreed with all of the above, and of course, don't forget to plant your own herbs regularly

I got a bit frustrated with herblore leveling. I got to 85, and then went nicely for 86.

And for some reason i assumed the next super pot would be at 86, but it is at 88.

Originally I just meant to turn all my ant-fire pots into super anti-fires and get to the next level where I could start making new super pots with the super attacks I already have.

But I will not even get close to 88 with what I have.

That put me off herblore leveling a bit. Maybe I will just make do with super antifires.

MTK doesn't put much of a dent in herblore leveling. I need about 5000+ new pots at the moment. That will take quite some time with MTK.

Unless you're absolutely loaded with cash, the best way train Herblore is to DYI it with Farming, MTK, and (in my case, anyway) Slaying. Use your extra money to buy herbs and seconds, but you'll definitely have to consider doing it the hard way.
