December 12, 200916 yr Yews and magics are about the same money-wise. But to get the most magics you need to use your own tree with a hydra, which cuts into things. But mahoganies are now the best wood for money. http://runescoop.com/html/rs_MMINDEXSKILLSWOODCUTTING.htm Qeltar, aka Charles KozierokWebmaster, RuneScoop - Premium RuneScape Information for Expert Players -- Now Free!Featuring the Ultimate Guide to Dungeoneering -- everything you need to know to get the most of the new skill!
December 13, 200916 yr If you're looking to make money from WC, eucalyptus logs are also looked at as a pretty good option.Eucalyptus logs are in fact superior to both magics and yews in both cash AND xp, even at the lowest levels, and anyone can access them easily at Mobilizing Armies. This kind of makes yews and magics obsolete. Of course, nothing in woodcutting can really give impressive profits. I'd be amazed if you could make even 200k gp/hr even with 99 woodcutting, and it's incredibly easy to make that kind of money even with low levels. (Smelting cannonballs, for example, can make better profit and takes about the same amount of attention; making planks can make around 275k gp/hr and requires literally no skills, quests, or anything.)
