Spectre Efficiency

Is it more profitable to take a pak yak while using the magic protection prayer or unicorn without prayer for spectre tasks? I have not slayed in a good while...and in that time herb prices have increased dramatically. So, I was wondering if it would be more profitable to bank them with the cow's scroll.

 

The last time that i had a spectre task, the only vaguely worthwhile herbs to pick up were ranarr kwuarm and possibly dwarf weed, but now 8 herbs are over 3k apiece

 

1 - 11.6k - ranarr

2 - 9.1k - dwarf

3 - 8.1k - lant

4 - 5.8k - kwuarm

5 - 5.3k - avantoe

6 - 4.9k - toad

7 - 3.7k - irit

8 - 3.6k - cad

 

and storage scrolls are worth 441, so is the cost of prayer potions(no I will not be pray flashing for an entire task, that was the reason for tanking in the first place), which are worth 13.4k per 4 doses, negated by the increased herb sales?

After actually looking up the prices of the various relevant items while making this post, it seems blatantly obvious that taking a cow will be more efficient, if a bit tedious, but I do not feel like erasing all of what I just typed.

 

EDIT: Also, do you get any experience for deflected damage?

Well, if you use Falador Shield 3, Prosalyte Armour, Fury, Ardy Cloak 3, Barrows Gloves and D Boots, you'll use 5 Ppots at the most.

 

You're likely to make more than 13,4k per 4 doses, so I'd say go with a Pack Yak and pray.

pack yak can carry 30 items and lets say you can carry 25, that's 55 items you could offload? 55 scrolls = 22k gp, roughly the value of a runecrafting trip.

I'd say if you're using the pollivneach spot yeah, the scrolls are definitely worth it. Slayer ring is actually REALLY close to the slayer tower location so i might question the use of scrolls there, but it's still a very cost effective option

since you're not using prayer i guess you're not cannoning them? I'd say cannoning is worthwhile, it does make profit after all.

Oh and of course you should consider using a macaw summon until your inventory is full

I just finished two entire tasks with tjust initiate armor and my whip. with 4 prayer pots(4) i usually filled my inventory before i ran out of pray points, and I easlily made 200k+ each task. Even though herb prices have shot up, thus bumping pray pots up, that means all herb prices have shot up and its still just a profitable as it used to be.

If your cannoning them definetly take the pack yak, if not i'd lean more towards the tanking with unicorn and banking.

Cannon and use yak. Not cannoning them is inefficient.

Just use a beast of burden and bank with house tabs, recharge prayer there to save on p pots, and use slayer rings to return. Or use yak scrolls. Its up to you.
