How long does it take, on average, to get an uncut onyx by killing Tzhaars now?

too early to say, but one of the Jmods said that if you killed 5000 tzhaar, you would probably get enough tokkul for an onyx a "fair way before that"

 

so i would estimate 2500-5000 tzhaars to kill

I went there and killed a few and I got like 2800 tokkul in like 5 kills. So the drop rates are definitely increased. I cannot say for sure how good they are because I left when I noticed obby rings are only stocked at 10. Stupid jagex :(

Lol, obby rings at 10? Lulz at them. New drops rates from killing Tzhaars does make it a lot easier to get the cheaper items though, so eh.

in 15 minutes ranging them at 96 range + pots in tank gear, I got 11k tokkul and 4 onyx bolt tips.

 

They also no occasionally drop some food, the level 149's? drop chili potatoes and the 133s or 139s or w/e drop lobsters.

Well, I can't really do anything with a 15-minute test run, but I think the average would be around 25 hours to get one. Just wanted to know.

You know the uncut onyx costs 2700k right? I think 25 hours is drastically under estimating it. Even if someone was meleeing them and got 80k a hour (twice what im getting) that would still only be 33 hours.

I've had 3 tasks of them so far, I've averaged about 650 tokkul per kill across all 3 tasks (Killing a mix of Xil and Ket).

well at my stats 96-90-90 with melee and a buynip and healing with guthans i still managed ~60k an hour.

I've been following this on the RSOF and it looks like the 133s drop 600-650 on average and the 149 750-800. People get 60-80k tokkul per hour average, with 1 person to claim he had 150k per hour (which I don't believe, personally). I'd say you should aim for 75k tokkul per hour, but it's not really worth it getting fury's to make money.
