Ice barraging at 92 mage

Well, I got 92 summon, and wolfie scroll raises mage +7. So i'd have 99 mage, and could just use scroll whenever I need to. I don't go on long barrage trips either. Just an idea. Is there any reason not to do this?

well if your doing it in PvP its gunna raise your combat level, but other then that, no.

DK drops (solo/LS): 66 hatchets, 14 archer rings, 13 berserker rings, 17 warrior rings, 12 seerculls, 13 mud staves, 7 seers rings

QBD drops: 1 kite, 2 visages, 4 dragonbone kits, 3 effigies, lots of crossbow parts

CR vs. CLS threads always turn into discussions about penis size.

I've sent a 12k combat mission to have Aiel assassinated (poor bastard isn't even Pincers-tier difficulty).

Think it would be quite a hassle, since you'd have to take extra pouches and summoning pots with you, so that you can take fewer prayer potions with you and thus shortening your trips. I think the best thing to do is (assuming you want to barrage over burst) to take a Wolp with you when you're heading to the rock lobs with a few scrolls stashed in your helmet (they're combat scrolls right? if not, just put them in inventory.), then just barrage using the scroll until your Wolp runs out, and then switch to burst until your trip is over. Keep on doing this until 94 Mage, and then just switch to full-out barraging.

95 prayer lasts a helluva long time. the +7 boosts means I have 5 levels until it drops too low. Wolfie lasts over an hour too.

I heard it might make you miss about 1/4 of your lures, which would increase the risk. However, the extra hits are welcomed ;) You would not hit harder with those scrolls if you have 92 mage than if you have 99.

I thought it was a visible boost and therefore added damage?

It is very much possible, did it myself at 93 mage and since you scroll every lure anyway you could do it at 92 too. I lasted 3k bursts with 6 wolpertingers and 8 ppots (well 6 ppots and 2 super restores), so I wouldn't really call it a short trip either. What etp said is kinda true though, if you dont'take care of your wolper it will attack a lobster and you'll have to either relure that one or just kill 8 lobsters. You can fix that problem by calling it or having it attack a melee dagg instead though.

The scrolls do make you hit harder too, I maxed 39 with barrage (ancient staff + wolper scroll).

I have ice barraged a lot with a tinger (only 91 mage), and i can tell you that the scrolls do boost your max hit. Without tinger i can hit 33, with a tinger 39. I didn't try it at rock lobsters, but the extra damage is worth the loss of a few inv spots imo.
