Balmung vs. Whip

I will be solo hybridiing Supreme and Prime, and just want to know if

 

Balmung>whip?

 

Also, if I do use Balmung, should I use dds for spec or use a healing spec like enhanced excalibur?

 

And does dragon halberd work better than dds on Supreme?

using balmung alone did not let me kill sup fast enough solo hyb. my stats aren't quite top notch yet, but think I could only have done it with d hally spec if i used balmung.

Balmung all the way. TBH, I believe balmung is ever better than AGS speccing. Although very slightly slower than a GS, I believe, 60's aren't all that rare. I've even seen a 73 from someone without turmoil.

Balmung absolutely rips supreme to shreds, maxed a 75 on him with pots and turmoil. High hits are very common with it too.

The other day I brought balmung, some dude tried to crash me and I got around 90% of the kills (Sometimes he just got epic lucky BGS spec).

 

So, yeah, I'd say Balmung > Whip

For dagganoth tasks, does the Balmung prove superior than whip+rune defender on your everyday normal lvl 88-90 dagganoth?

i'm f2p so I can't talk from personal experience but I heard it owned whip and rune defender. It hits often 60+'s etc and has way higher accuracy.

I haven't used it on the lower level dagganoth monsters (only dks) but due to the very slow speed of it (it's slightly slower then a gs) a whip seems like it would beat balmung on lower level monsters. The level 88 dagganoth have 85 hp and from my experience with balmung I've maxed a 75, using slayer helm, super pots and turmoil, balmung could easily kill it in 2 hits but a whip can also kill them in 2 hits only faster and even if you didn't kill it in 2 hits you can still get 3 hits in(maybe 4? I haven't timed the hits) before balmung hits twice. I might actually go test them both on the lower level dagganoth just to figure this out actually.

 

The max hits of the whip are assuming killing them while on a slayer task with slayer helmet, super pots, and piety/turmoil. (I used the max hit calculator with those conditions, a strength bonus of 129, and 99 strength)
