MEP2

MEP2 is well known as being one of the most infamous quests out there with regards to the agility and difficulty. So I've recently been training my agility in a vain hope to get it up for MEP2 however I don't know what level would be advised to raise it too..... any ideas?

Also I've read the guide numerous times and it does sound very difficult especially with the shadows attacking all the time..... so what would be a good setup to wear whilst doing this quest? Or do I have to wear the mourners outfit all the time?

Cheers for any help, tips or advice,

Ez

Reacting impulsively and saying what's on your mind feels oh so good.. for a little, until you realize you just started WWIII.

High prayer low weight setup.

I used stole, mitre, monk robes, boots of lightness and one of the hunter capes with the rest the best/lightest prayer gear I had.

You need about 65 to get clean across the handholds but you can pie to this.

I personally used about 10 to 15 prayer pots and about 5 pies with 70 prayer and 62/62 agility at the time.

I managed to get across with only 2 fails at 60 + Summer Pie. Just take pies and you should be okay.

As for prayer, you could either take about 10 Potions and leave it on the whole time, or you could take 3-5 and switch it on and off when shadows come. For this method, just get your highest prayer bonus, but use Spotted Cape/Boots of Lightness and Penance Gloves IF you have.

But, at your defense level, it might be best just to tank them. Wear Torag's or another high healing armour (Full Guthans might be nice for healing) and bring an inventory full of high healing food, and a couple Prayer Potions just in case you run out of food.

Any way, you only need to cross the handholds twice. It's pretty overhyped. At your Agility level, just Bring 2 Summer Pies and eat before you cross. It might take a couple tries, but it shouldn't be too difficult.

I've heard that having a full run energy helps in getting across. I did it with around 56-60 agility (can't remember which) and it drove me crazy! But I also didn't have a very low weight or a full run, so maybe just get it up those 3 levels to 65, bring a summer pie or agility potion, get a full run bar and then try getting across.
