kolko
Since mages have to bring loads of runes when pking, i thought out this idea. You could buy 'rune boxes' in the magic shop for 20k each, each of those rune boxes could carry a maximum of 100 runes (of one kind) When you die, each of the boxes would count as one item, so you would not lose all of your runes. It would still be possible to take runes with you the normal way offcorse PRO'S: Keeping more runes CONTRA'S: More inventory space taken, so less food The price Here is something that could be implemented to make it better It would have to be so you remove runes from the box before you use them, so there is more space taken, but easier to carry mass amounts of runes without fear :P
archimage_a
The con is negated as it takes the same amount of space for a small trip. The idea only works if you are doing major amounts of attacking http://www.uzzisoft..../archimage.jpegWell I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts. archimage_a
Not really as that dont work eathier, what you need is some sort of way to make 'spell' runes rather than just one rune. So instead of getting something like firebolt rune or telly other rune. This would mean you could carry one rune in the place of many. The problem would be in making them and once made would only be usable for that spell nothing else http://www.uzzisoft..../archimage.jpegWell I knew you wouldn't agree. The pker then picks up 3 boxes full of law runes... http://www.uzzisoft..../archimage.jpegWell I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts. eliisgood
well, it would be a good idea, although I think that the player who gets killed still drops one-fourth of the runes that they are carrying (whether they are in the boxes or not); this would prevent mages from "three iteming" in a new and strange way (especially if they were using the new Lava or Mist or whatever runes). E_D_G_E_1039
The risk of pking as a mage is losing your runes. Are rangers going to get quivers, and meleer's going to get... something that saves them money when they die too? :?
Jeffro108
 Y doesn't runescape just go to using mana then and have mana restore potoing for f2p to use?? You have the right, and people have the right to hate you for it.Thus, the circle of life is complete.Take the Magic: The Gathering 'What Color Are You?' Quiz. Why don't you post something useful? It is because the runes are in the game since the begining, they can't change it now
cubegenius
runescape is not like other games thats why you do not have mana. do u honstly want runescape to just become a poor mans everquest. Plus its called runescape and maybe the geniuses who marketed this idea thought that the game should have runes so that idoits would not complain about a game not having runes and it being called runescape. If you did not understand pm me for a more complete explanation.
Doritokiller
That's the risk of being a mage in the wilderness. Same goes with rangers, they can lose arrows. Warriors lose armor.
Toxicologist
Wells, apersonal objection: runes should be carried in pouches and bags, not boxes. =) And how do you judge the value of a box? Is it by the runes it contains, or merely the box as itself? Why do you resist? My experiments are only helping humanity push the boundaries of the Art of Toxicology... you should be proud to be one of my victims. ~Toxicologist~
