Patr1ck
Well I had AVG 9.0 on my computer I recently took it off to try something new. I heard of an antivirus program that was free and was supposedly better than avg, so me of course being curious went and downloaded it. By the looks of it it seems streamlined and nice, i'm running a scan right now. Anyway just looking for opinions/reviews/etc. for it. Tell me what you think about it, if you have ever tried it. ilya
I'm running it, had no problems at all, it does a good job I think. Also switched from AVG a while back

Also switched from AVG a while backthanks for your input, after only having it on my computer for a few hours I'm starting to like it. I mean it alerts you with a voice and a pop up that says "We have detected a threat" etc. Very nice.
Sbrideau
Nowadays anything is better than AVG, I don't know what the developpers have made with AVG to make it so bad. My personnal thought is that Avast isn't one of the best either as it seems to have a high amount of false positives, but whatever suits you :). Ahh thanks, I like Avast's layout, but one of the reason I left avg was because of false positives
dsavi
Microsoft's AV is pretty good, I hear. Free too. What's it called again?

AndyPandy
Microsoft's AV is pretty good, I hear. Free too. What's it called again? Microsoft Security Essentials MSe is probably one of the best anitvirus programs out there TBH. It barely uses any memory, it never identifies things wrongly (for me anyways), and it is updated thrice-daily. So don't let anyone tell you you're not worth the earth, These streets are your streets, this turf is your turf, Don't let anyone tell you that you've got to give in, Cos you can make a difference, you can change everything, Just let your dreams be your pilot, your imagination your fuel, Tear up the book and write your own damn rules, Use all that heart, hope and soul that you've got, And the love and the rage that you feel in your gut, And realise that the other world that you're always looking for, Lies right here in front of us, just outside this door, And it's up to you to go out there and paint the canvas, After all, you were put on the earth to do this, So shine your light so bright that all can see, Take pride in being whoever the [bleep] you want to be.
