Does anyone know an approximate drop rate for the holy elixer drop from tormented wraiths?

 

I've killed somewhere in the neighborhood of ~150 now and gotten two spirit shield drops and I was just wondering how many i'd have to kill for the Holy elixer drop. :mrgreen: Thanks :thumbup:

I was always under the impression that they were 1:500, but that's probably off. I've killed about the same as you, 1 shield, 0 elixirs. There is no way to tell how many you would have to kill, it's all RNG.

That's what i always assumed too. i have no idea really but I guess I will just keep killing. I know it's all RNG but i'm still hoping i get that drop sometime soon =p

I got mine at kill #350, I'm thinking it's from 1/300-1/700 range. But you might get it in 1 kill, or 10,000 kills :P

Please. Someone is always spouting this load of bull. Yes, we do know that it *could* happen on the first, or five-thousandth kill. But the OP was asking about the drop rate, the AVERAGE.

 

I'd have to say from the drop logs i've seen its roughly 1-600. Unless you are me. Then your rate for any rare drop is at least 1/4x the average.

Yes. You are a crewbie. You *should* know that how stats work. Saying that it could be between 1 and 10,000 kills DOESN'T HELP! The OP is asking for the average, since we can't tell him how many he needs to kill to guarantee that drop.

 

Not to mention I never admitted what you claim. All I said was that my DR is worse then average. Which, of course, means other people have better drop rates then average. That is how averages work.

 

Now the median number to kill is different. That'd be an interesting number to know.

I said that from my experience the drop rate was around 1/300-1/700. The statement about 1-10,000 kills was meant to point out that 700 kills doesn't guarantee an elixir, which his post implied a drop rate would mean.

Saying the part about 1-10k is contradicting the basic principle of AVERAGE though. As such, it is not needed, and confusing.

I know what an average is, and obviously you do as well.

 

The only reason I made the 1-10k comment was because he, in addition to asking the average, said "how many do I have to kill in order to get it?"

I was just reminding him that, as you pointed out, such a question can't be answered. I may have taken him too literally, sure, but I don't know what he's thinking so I'm just making sure.

 

I gave my opinion on an average before that though (1/300-1/700), which is my main answer. Sorry if I wasn't clear enough in my first post, I was not trying to say the average was 1-10k.
