  1. I just completed the quest! :) Have to say that I loved it,and I only died once which surprised me. Nice puzzles, and good rewards, can't wait for the city to come out!(along with that extra 300k xp!) :)
  2. Im calling it because araxxor requires it.Been done without it lol Been done without it, and no food. Check out Fumbra's video of it if you don't believe. That kid has talent.
  3. Not really. Alching is the main problem with gp creation in the first place, leaving that alone would be the worst in any attempt to stem gp creation. Plus the gp sinks clearly don't do enough since we still have rampant inflation - there is no reason they'd have to be altered as long as the change to gp creation was balanced against the existing rate of gp destruction. I don't know about alching being the main problem honestly... I mean yes, as far as being consistent and giving pure gp into the economy I agree that it does that. But As far as being the main proponent... I really doubt that. I don't alch things on a daily, or weekly basis, and I haven't heard of peopel alching to 99 mage anymore (especially not with glacors, slayer, and the abyss). However, I do believe that TH is a main proponent. You get two spins everyday, and rares about once a month. Many of the higher priced items directly input a couple million into the economy in pure gp. With a couple people doing this everytime they get good luck, and all the different accounts it happens to, I can easily see why we have inflation problems. @above ofc, one step forward two steps back in posting
  4. Another option to explore would be to just bring food/antifires/pots and go at them with an hour or so worth of those and just use magic notepaper. But if you don't think you can last that way Your strategy is probably best. Honestly if you find it enjoyable and it makes sense to you and works well, then go for it. Something you enjoy is better than grinding something you hate to do.
  5. Bought Drygore Mace for 49,575,061. ^_^
  6. Look into Ahk its a powerful macro builder that allows you to do what you want with scripts. So lets say you want to use the F key to do a certain action, then .75 secs later another? It would look something like this in AHK F:: action1 sleep,750 action2 return Simple, easy to write, and very powerful. You can also make the script do mousemoves, clicks, and repeat actions. There are guides and such posted on the forums and its relatively easy for anyone to pick up.
  7. You might want to change the bold portion under the banner that reads Get Ready for: Dagannoth Kings ;)
  8. But this is Jagex we're talking about... they can't do that. Then what use is their precious Solomon's store?
  9. Good guy award goes to Stev for the year haha. :-D Keep up the generosity!
  10. It would be pretty much the same thing except it would be called "boss" instead of "minigame". The main difference to me on this subject is that "minigames" give points for activities. Those points then can be turned in for a reward, that's why Dungeoneering is less a skill, more a minigame. However, a "boss" gives direct drops after the activity has been finished, such as barrows, QBD, or any monster killing. So in my opinion just as long as they don't give the skilling boss a store that they can buy things from, then I don't really mind what they do with the rewards from beating the monster.
  11. Skilling boss... hmmm you mean sort of like the giant chinchompa minigame? Where you have a monster that needs to be subdued somehow and you gather resources with others in order to keep the beast at bay and then defeat it? Maybe you could do this with other skills, and make it have a drop table sort of like the QBD with really rare chances of finding items to create the higher tiered items? Could be interesting to see different ways this could be implemented.
  12. If invention coming 2 years from now is how long you have to wait then I think compared to the wait of the Elf city people you should rejoice, sir.
  13. But the design documents clearly say lots about including pointy ears, horribly xp and afk training, and MAYBE a GE place don't they?
  14. On top of the fact they are making the elf city the most highly anticipated piece of content. They are ensuring its authority as the highest grade content even before its release....It still kind of strikes me as nostalgia pandering though, like they've shoved everything aside to make room for a dead storyline. Nor can I say I'm a fan of the whole "you will never have to leave this city" thing that they have going on. I agree on the point of nostalgia. However, would you rather them just leave it as it is and not pay any attention to it? I feel that the need for closure (of a sort for the storyline) outweighs the sense of nostalgia in this case. As for never leaving the city... If it's got pretty enough graphics i might not mind. :p I guess I'll just leave that opinion for when its actually rolled out.
  15. If you've even taken a bit of interest in looking into the design documents for the new Elf City then you wouldn't be sarcastically saying it'll be "worth deep-sixing." The city is much longer overdue in the first place, plus if you look into the content that it'll have... For a majority of players it'll be some place they never leave. I know that you'll have a hard time finding me outside of the city for much other than slayer tasks, and a few other random things. Other than that I will be one of many who spends a lot of time in the city.
  16. Nub, you need to play more often and come PvM with me sometime.
  17. As a suggestion for the duplicate items/item holder placings, I think that it would also be beneficial for the ninja team to look into having an option for the bank which creates a "shadow" item that holds the place. Instead of actually having two of the item, it just creates a ghost of the item in the bank which holds the place of the original item. The "shadow item" can't be withdrawn, and is a right click option added to each item in the bank. That way you can only have one set of an item that will be in the bank withdraw it and the "ghost" remains there in its place. Think of it more like locking the bank space so that nothing but that item can go into that particular bank space, much like the POH storage room places. This idea seems much easier, and achievable to me, as it would be more of a change to the interface of the bank, rather than a random collection of items in the game we wish we could have multiples of.
  18. I'm really interested in this update. It sounds packed full of content, I just don't know where to start... Firstly I'm with a huge amount of the people complaining, NO SOLOMONS. Absolutely not happy seeing this even being considered. As for the Xuan style-store, I really think that can be cut out too. As they said in the podcasts, they don't want people to stay here 24/7 necessarily, so I think that removing that as well would help, right now there seems to me no reason to leave the city... Leaving out things like a ports portal, and quartermaster would be ideal to me to accomplish this goal. (however, I don't want them to change these aspects as I don't think I want to leave the city). I think it would be a good move to make the NPC that you give your chrons to as Seren, just an interesting notion to me. The shattered heart idea seems like a repeated idea, however I wonder if they will make the golden rocks into something you can only obtain through finding them in the city. To me it doesn't quite make sense that the rocks would exist outside of the city and its training methods, especially without being able to be found before the update.
  19. A good way that my clan practices and uses to teach newbies to kk and Vorago is by using the Combat beta, that way if you die you can automatically relog with full inventory and everything.
  20. $200-250? Really? I can't imagine it being that much unless you really are going for perfection, and that's including at least one or two prototypes in which you buy all the fabric from an expensive store, and even then that might be an over estimate... i can't imagine the fabric really being all that much more than $10 per yard from a general store. As for decorative ribbons and such they will probably run you about much as the fabric if you try to get really fancy. Honestly i can see making a decent cape that works well for under $100 pretty easily. One way to cut down on cost would be to find something that is fabric like and could work as a proto type to try your ideas on. A sheet you don't use, or an old bathroom curtain you don't use, try out a design our two on these to get as idea of your design and shape before going and buying the fabric. Once you get the basic form that you like and are ready, try drawing ideas with pencil on the curtain/sheet that works well with. That should give you an idea of how to accent it with ribbons, markers etc.
  21. No problem, just make sure you post a picture of what the end result ends up looking like, haha. I think that will be quite something to see!
  22. Glacors are an excellent choice if you don't like dags or abyss. They provide fast xp, with profit and charms, what more could you want? :p Although the req's for them may be a bit of a challenge, I can assure you they are worth it.
  23. Honestly the measurements shouldn't be too hard, try googling how to make a cape and come up with a few general ideas on how it's done. I saw a couple pictures of different ideas on how to get the measurements, but really I would just lay down and mark where the cape height should be, then attach the finished cape to some other fabric that acts as your shoulder pads or whatever. Really just try something and go for it, take an idea and run with it. Deviant art probably has hundreds of good designs you can base it off of. Here's an image of a cape that I found just in a couple minutes of looking that looks pretty sweet.[hide] [/hide] Of course you can always change the colors but I find that's a nice concept design. Really something cool to see would be taking the new 120 capes that are about to come out, and see if you can't model one of those. Probably the hardest part about that would be the particle trail, but I can see that easily being simulated by some fishing wire or something similar.
