Building a new city

Featured Replies

once you get to the position of senior prefect you can build a new city by invading flatlands, and chosing the option fortify while one of your legends is there

i think pretty much everywhere it says that you need 100k of each resource to build the city, this is not true, it is a major typo and you only need 10k of each resource

your new city will start out poor, (like the first one) and you won't be able to do the novice tasks to get loads of resources, however you can use a stable to send resources to your city, so upgrading your stable will greatly help in the building of the city:

(level 2 stable will let you send 2 teams, each carrying 3k resources each, level 5 will let you send 5 teams carrying 15k resources each), and also upgrading you relay will help as it will cut down the time take of the teams to arrive (and transportation teams are slow)

I believe you have to have 100k of each resources; while it only takes 10k of each.

when i built my city i had to wait for my gold to reach 10k, and my only resource over 100k was stone

Really? That's important information, now I don't really have to save up.

I'm not quite there yet, but I have a piece of occupied flatland literally right next to my city.

Does the university research have to be re-researched in the new city?

Does the university research have to be re-researched in the new city?

I don't believe so.

I think they do have to be re-researched for that effect to be used in that city. That's how it was in travian anyways.

you don't have to re-research them, but your university level has to be high enough so that you could have researched them in that city

example, you research construction to level 7 in your main city

when you creat a new city, to start with it doesn't feel the effect of that research

however if you build a level 3 university, that university will grant the city the benefits of level 3 construction without the need to research it again

have i explained it properly?

Yeah, I just tested that out before I saw this. So basically the increase in level of your sub-city university unlocks the skills of your main city.
