The Hazeel symbol isn't usefull other then during the quest itself. Most quest items are updated so you can get them back. If you do find this to be an exception, report it to Jagex. However, it would seem that if you sided against the cult, you could not get it back. Although, perhaps killing Clivet would help? ~It's Super Effective!
