NotoriousPSC
I am currently going for 99 fishing with Rocktails, and I am also going for 99 cooking. I was wondering if it would be better for me to cook and sell the rocktails, or to buy and cook monkfish (and then sell). Basically I was wondering if burning rocktails is a big enough problem because raw and cooked rocktails are about the same price. blurrythorn
Incorrect, at level 95 with cooking gauntlets you dont burn rocktail, so just raise your cooking to 95 and cook them.
K4ylan
It's most cost efficient to do monks till 94, sharks till 95, then rocktails till 99. All of this assuming you have cooking gauntlets, of course. ~~~The Harpy List~~~Harpy Facts~~~It's Super Effective~~~The Beginning~~~Harpy Therapy Center~~~Alg~~~Jedi Harpy~~~Rohirrim~~~Attenuation~~~
NotoriousPSC
It's most cost efficient to do monks till 94, sharks till 95, then rocktails till 99. All of this assuming you have cooking gauntlets, of course. I had thought that cooking gauntlets only worked on lobsters, swordfish and sharks. Umoria
Well it's just a guideline. If you read good, you see you stop burning monks around 90, and with the gauntlets, your chance for an succesfull cooked monk (fish, not the people) is raised by 2,5%.I don't believe rocktails are studied with the gauntlets yet. Codguy
I can confirm that Rocktails stop burning at 95 with Cooking Gauntlets. Just cooked ~6k after level 99 as well, without burning any. It has been tested and proven, just not on Tip.it yet, as far as I know. Right now, Sharks, Rocktails, and Cavefish all give a tiny bit of profit when cooking (assuming 100% rate, and at med GE prices), and Monkfish give a -0.01 gp/xp, which is basically breaking even. I'd say, since you're 92 Cooking, do Monkfish to 94, Sharks to 95, and Rocktails on, depending on how prices fluctuate.
Umoria
Well it is tested, but not shown on the tip.it website.Seems like an update people can use, rocktails. NotoriousPSC
Alright, thanks everyone. For the record, at 92 I stopped burning monks without gauntlets.
