geesch Posted February 5, 2010 Share Posted February 5, 2010 yesterday i was curious (after leaving rs for a few years) how the anti-hacking system works exactly. what i did was i changed my password while using a german based proxy (im canadian) to change it, then request a recovery. i figured that i would just get the pass back once i filled out all the stuff. WRONG. jagex ended up locking my account. heres where my quesiton comes into play. what exactly have i gotten myself in to? will i get it back quickly? when i did the recovery and they told me this set of numbers, i took a screeny and filled out the next screen. i didnt realise those numbers were also used to track my recovery, so i simply close paint and didnt save. so now i dont have the recovery numbers, nor do i have a clue if or when ill get my account back. dont flame me for being a moron (wasnt myself last night). if anyone has something useful that could give me some reassurance, i would love to hear it. thanks. They may still be in the process, or you may be boned. Still a stupid thing to do. . . . stupid indeed. Ever since it got locked I've been beating myself up over it. Good news though! It was unlocked last night, so I'm happy.
