Should i sell it?

Hey it's Dume Dude 56 here, i was just wondering if i should sell my Saradomin Godsword And buy Dragonfire Shield and some Bandos or something. Whats your opinion?

This is a hard one for sure.

SGS is a great sword for slayer. Most people where thinking of selling it, sold it, and buy it back the other day because they miss it so bad.

 

As far as I know, on the forums people say: bandos plate + verac skirt is a great slayer set-up.

THen again, barrows is less money, and strong enough too. The only downside are the repair costs, but you can reduce that with a POH and 55 con I thought.

Dragon tasks are faster if you kill the babies (blues are worth killing if you have a few rings spare).

If you power slay with piety and cannon where possible SGS specs really add up, not to mention it truly rocks for boss hunting.

Keep it. Bandos and DFS are overrated for slayer. Using prosy and praying piety is way better then using bandos on tasks. If you do sell the SGS, sell it for more prayer potions so you can piety your tasks.

And imo SGS is overrated as well. It's only useful at TDs and DKs when you're using a pack yak. It has its uses on slayer tasks but it's not worth the 70m; buy prayer potions with that money. Or even better, get turmoil and do tasks faster than with piety while using less ppots. Having turmoil also means you have soul split which replaces the healing from SGS. It allows you to tank Dark beasts for example.

To be honest an EE is another decent weapon with a healing spec with only a 500gp price tag (And the seer's diary but that's pretty easy), if you boss hunted and slayed I would say keep it as it's a decent GS but it's not worth it just for slayer. In addition to the other suggestions you can also spend some of the money on cannonballs and cannon tasks like bloodvelds.
