NotoriousPSC
I am a level 76 Woodcutter and will at some point start work on that skill (and firemaking and fletching) again. Anyway, I was wondering if Maples or Yews were better. I'm not interested in Ivy very much because of the lack of any material produced from skilling. Money and xp rate are both a factor in which one I'll do. Zaaps1
If you really want to factor in money and xp, you should know that Ivy is really the best way to go. You get xp so much faster, that you could do almost ANYTHING in the time you save and make the money "lost" back. ~It's Super Effective! Championfurydelta123
What Zaaps1 said is true. In the time you spend getting money but slower experience at say yews, you could be getting way more at something that mainly focuses on money e.g. green dragons. By three methods we may learn wisdom: First, by reflection, which is noblest; Second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third by experience, which is the bitterest. - Confucius
Arieondor
I think what your looking for is Eucalyptus trees! They cut faster then yews but yield close to the same profit per log. They can be found just east of Mobilising Armies and just use the bank there; there are some ogres and wolves that will occasionally attack you, but it's only slightly annoying. nerdboyxxx
If you are looking for amazing experience, Ivy. Always go Ivy :P. BUT, keep in mind that you can make back all the cash (as zaaps said) because it'll take less than a month to get 99 off them (but that's just an example, if you were only going for say 80 to 90, then you'd get it in a couple of weeks). If you are serious and want to make some cash from training, then you can't go past eucalyptus. Approx. 55K an hour from my calculations, and cash just under yews per hour; They're the best choice. Forget Yews and Maples :). Good luck with woodcutting ;).

They're both faster and more profitable. So yews are pretty much not worth cutting. Maples even less so, as the experience is weak and the logs themselves are barely worth any gp at all, so you get bad xp and bad profit--not worth swinging a hatchet at, ever. Mio
Ivy came out when I was 90 woodcutting before then I did Teaks for Exp. My friend did 1-99 Woodcutting in about 3-4 weeks, Doing willows to 75 and then he tried Ivy and Found it pretty slow so he went to teaks and found it better exp. Then started Ivy at about 85-90 and Found it much better. So I would reccomend Exp wise doing WIllows/teaks to 85 and then going to Ivy for max and fast experience.
