Familiars while enchanting orbs

When I enchant air orbs for battlestaves, I see people with tortoises occasionally. I don't understand how these could help as the orbs take up your entire inventory, and you can't flat out switch items with beasts of burden.

Bringing a full tort and inv, when done with inv drop 6 orbs and keep withdrawing/depositing till done then pick the 6 up

Sounds like more effort click wise than doing an invent then banking.

Erm more effort implies no a better output.

As the effort spent dropping and picking up etc probably takes longer than it would to bank and bring another load of orbs to the thing

So take a tort with 6 free spaces. Right click -> Store , deposit 6 orbs, withdraw 6, deposit 6 more, withdraw 6, hit x. That's... 11 clicks, and you gain 12 extra orbs, almost half an inventory. The numbers are even better with a yak.

That confirms more effort, but it does little to show how the 11 extra clicks in time scale compare to simply doing ur load and banking to come back with a full new load.

I can see how tht method might just about be worth it, but the drop 6 withdraw store withdraw store method definitely aint

Agreed on the dropping. It comes down to, can you get those 11 extra clicks in faster than 12/27 of the time it takes to run to the obelisk, and is this benefit worth the 10k gold spent on a tortoise?
