I want to know if i can use a cannon at iron and steel dragons and would my cannon be safe ( not be destroyed by the dragons ) :ohnoes:

 

I have a steel dragon task and i am going to range them. :thumbup:

Ranging metal dragons is generally rather fail.

 

As, much like metal armour, they are pretty strong against range while being epically weak to mage. As well as stab attacks.

 

Nowhere says you can't take a canon, but no guide recommends it at all either.

I range matal dragons all the time and that works just great. I kill them faster than melee

but anyone with all round decent stats and the right setups you will clearly see Mages down them the fastest, meleers slightly slower than that then rangers a good while slower than that.

Thanks i will take the cannon and se what happens and the reason i am using range is i have 800 anti drag pot and no prayer pot for melee and i want to get my rangeup to 90

Meleeing an iron dragon takes less than a minute. And if you are on a task and potted with extremes it's sometimes a 3 hitter. They are extremely easy when maxed.

 

Using a cannon will just increase speed on top of that.

 

I used to sometimes take my cannon to black dragons. They have good range defense, but cannoning several at them at the same time sure goes faster than any method doing one by one. In the chicken lair it is possible. You just have to make sure you are in a safespot because that isn't a multizone.

You have boviously never tried it, do you?

 

I can kill over 130 iron dragons an hour, with melee. Magin works decent too, but epicly weak is a big exaggeration. IMO maging and ranging are more or less on par.

(unless you use maybe fire surge with mage pots and SOL and hex)

Maging metals is terrible. If you want magic xp melee them and alch between attacks.
