pmg godslayer has goen softy!

wus :P

btw you mean 100% , it would look really weird x100.. i wonder if i've ever had a x100 zoom..

time to find out.

btw in addition to what godslayer said i might have something usefull to say here for once..

when i do minimum palette shading and combine colors (which i usually do) i always like combine Red, Green and Blue into one color.

so per example i use a greyish red highlight with a soft green mid-tone plus a dark blue as shadow to create let's say brown or something.

it's actually quite fun to do :P

i based it on theory, being: all colors are made up out of green blue and red... so why don't we use that in pixel art. that's it..

well i don't post my work anymore tho, changed.. like to keep things to myself :P

Not always. It depends on if your talking about the additive primarty colors, subtractive primary colors, printing colors, or light.

Grab a physics book if you want to learn more about it, it's actually quite interesting.

well actually you can make moste colors :P

however red green and blue were the basics of creating the other colors.. which create more colors..

but trying to actually create colors that do not stem from red green and blue is the real challenge.'

That's what I am talking about though...

Look at your printer. What colors does it use? Certainly not red green and blue... it uses printing colors. These are subtractive primary colors.

Cyan

Yellow

Magenta

Those colors can make any color when mixed correctly, including black, however the black you use is made chemically.

Everyone knows light is white, but can be split to make a rainbow.

The additive colors for white? Red Green and Blue

The colors used for art? Well look at the color wheel... red blue yellow.

Take a look here:

are you daffy? that wouldnt be in a physics book???? do you not know what physics are?

Cyan-Yellow-Magent(i think this is supposed to be maroon?)

are almost exactly blue red and yellow... slight variations of white in them

and white doesnt have an additive color... this is why we use white paper... white is a shade, it is the absence of color

and you can make almost any colors with these, things like purple and such are just a bit more complicated and dark red etc.. because you have to re add colors to already added (and maybe re add after that) colors..

and we dont use em cause its painstaking and easier to just use the colors from a pallette

*quer replace green with yellow... blue+yellow=green... comeon we learn this is kindergarden!*

thanks everyone for the sigs!

Golly, I wish I was as smart as you.

Of course color theory has a place in a physics book.

ive never seen it in a physics book....? have you taken physics GS? if im wrong im sorry, i guess i just never covered that part of the book...

yes that is colors of paint and crayons, but they are talking about colors of light... cmon, we learn this in 9th grade
