Soa
Don't rely on a C4D as a background, try smudging every now and then. :)
Shiny
Really experiment. But not with filters so much, more brushes and effects, like smudging and blurring.

Solartide
Are you gradient mapping your render/signatures? Sometimes it doesn't make much of a difference, but other times it makes it look a whole lot better. I'll up an example. Original Looks pretty cool right? It's decent. Mapped Mapped, it brings out the gold on the wings, and makes the wings themselves seem nicer in my opinion. Once you look at the second, the first looks dull and boring. A_Mace
It's been a while but I tried something new again. As with the other one. c/c is really appreciated! I have so much to learn still. Thanks!
Ouchy
Then Ouchy shalt be thy tutor. Oh hai. First of all, don't use a C4D as your background. There are many alternatives, such as using the render as the background, to using a stock photo. Experiment and try things. There are heaps of tutorials on the PDN forums (Not that I have been there in a while...) that you can read up on to gain skills. Don't be afraid to try Tutorials that are for GIMP or Photoshop. It actually increases your knowledge if you can manage to convert it yourself. Also, if you haven't already, get HEAPS of Plugins. Bolt_Bait (Or however it is spelt), Pyromancer, and Simon Brown make good ones, plus many more. Just download what you can and see what works. Also, try to stay away from text. Here, you have a done a good job defining your focal, but your text is smack bang right next to it... My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. Yes I get massages.
Sam
That transformer signature is actually quite good, minimal but real nice job save the text. 2257AD.TUMBLR.COM
