You could use Avenum Rules...

Major Skill Types:

Strength(Increases weight you can carry and strength of physical attacks)

Dexterity(Increases accuracy and ability to avoid blows)

Intelligence(Increases energy points and helps you resist mental attacks)

Endurance(Increases Hitpoints and resistance to damage)

 

Combat Skills:

Melee Weapons(Increases damage done by swords and the like)

Polearms(Increases damage done by polearms and the like)

Bows(Increases damage done by bows)

Thrown Weapons(Increases damage done by thrown weapons)

Quick Action(You can move earlier and have a chance of having more Action Points, and have a chance of being able to strike twice in an attack)

 

Magic Skills:

Mage Spells(Increases your damage with mage spells, and you can cast higher level spells.)

Priest Spells(Increases your damage, or healing, with priest spells, and you can cast higher level spells.)

Arcane Lore(Lets you read higher level tomes, thus allowing you to learn higher level spells, and helps you resist mental attacks)

Spellcraft((Increases your damage with all spells)

 

General Skills:

Hardiness(Reduces damage from all sources)

Defence(Makes it less likely you will be hit)

Tool use/Mechanics(You can open higher level doors, disarm higher level traps and affect higher level machinery)

Nature Lore(Helps you calm monsters, spot traps and resist poison)

First Aid(Recovers a certain amount of health and energy after each full battle)

Luck(Makes things go better for your character)

 

Special Skills:

Anatomy(Increases damage against humanoids and help your first aid)

Pathfinding(Increases resistance to acid/poison)

Resistance(Incrases resistance to magic attacks)

Magical Efficency(Use less energy per spell)

Lethal Blow(Increases chance of doing Critcals)

Quick Strike(You react earlier and have a chance of getting more action points)

Parry(Chance to reduce or negate the physical damage you get)

Blade Master(Increased damage to all hand to hand weapons)

Gymnastics(Makes you harder to hit and act faster)

Ripose(Gives you the chance to turn an attack from someone against them, more chance at higher levels)

Sharpshooter(Increase damage from bows and thrown weapons)

Dual Wielding(Decreases penalty from having a weapon in each hand)

Leveling up happens when you have achieved some level of XP and you get 5 or 10(For every 5 levels you go up you get an extra 5 poinds) skill points to spend on stuff. However the higher your level in something the less the individual points actually mean...So if you have level 4 strength it might cost 5 skill points per level, but if you are level 9 strength it might cost 7.

Well the general frame work is inside the hide tags...its designed so there are 2 main types of attack, with numerous extranous types. The two main types are physical and magical.

There is also acid, poison, cold, fire and disruption.

 

There are wands and scrolls which the GM may give out to the party/players, but these are at the GMs disgression.

Melee weapons, of all types, give physical damage, though can be enchanted to give other types of damage as well.

Spells can give any type of damage excepting physical, the nature of the damage depends on the spell book, which depends on the GMs disgression.

 

Levels are between 1 and 40...

Yeah...I have got the framework here, but it doesn't seem compatiable, since I can't code and the framework above is indeciferable so its not like I can even edit that...

Okay, now to handle the issue to characters.

I'll try to make this as simple as possible, though I assume there will be some mishaps.

Race:

(The more long winded the better, but has no real value. Still, it's nice to read a good description)

 

 

Class-

Pick one of the base classes, and only one. When you get level 2, you have the option of choosing another class, making you a multiclass character. There are good and bad points to that, but that can be explained another time.

A hit die is the dice you roll to see how many hitpoints you gain upon levelling up.

 

 

Ability Scores-

(This is where it starts to get kinda of confusing. This should help a lot, and will tell you what each of the abilities does: http://www.d20srd.org/srd/theBasics.htm#abilityScores)

Strength - 8

Dexterity - 8

Constitution - 8

Intelliegnce - 8

Wisdom - 8

Charisma - 8

(Everything starts at 8, which gives a modifier of -1. At 10, the modifier becomes 0, 12, it becomes +1, and so on. You have 30 points to spend increasing these to begin with. Catch is that whatever the modifier currently is, is what the ability costs to increase. For example, say I have a strength score of 14, which gives me a modifier of +2. Each new point I want added to that ability score costs me 2 "Starting" points, instead of 1 like it costed previously. I hope people understand that)

 

 

Alignment-

(Some of this is fairly important. A paladin cannot be an evil class without losing their abilities for example. Check the class list above for detailed information)

 

 

Spells-

If you choose a magic class, you can start with four spells I believe. They must be of level zero, and you gain more spells as you increase in level.

Choose your respective classes level 0 spells and take whichever ones you want, up to 4 spells.

 

 

Feats-

All 1st level characters get one feat. Fighters get an extra one, and human characters get another. If you are a human fighter, you start with 3 feats.

You may have trouble navigating this page, but just check any you like the sound of out, and pick them if they have an effect you want.

Some feats can't be picked until later, when you have a feat that precedes it or some other requirement.

Class: (if i can be a necromancer, then that is what ill be. if not, then i a an Assasin)

Skills: even for the stats, no idea for feats..

Backstory: Came out of the woods a powerful cleric but due to unforseen side effects of a concussion lost all of his previous levels

Race: Elf

Description: Black hair with golden eyes has a penchant for calling people ignorant, he enjoys long walks on the beach and listening and has a small hatred for merlot.

Class: Cleric (this may be subject to change and I may multi class)
