Okay, I edited it, and according to the thingy, I have 28 skill points. I see there are "class skills". Are these the only ones I can use?

3.5 is supposed to cover every possible varriation for the fullest range of characters possibly imaginable... 4 simplifies everything....Its one of those things that you will notice when you actually play the game...

It is, but I like the spell level system. Again, sorry Archi, I know it's a huge pain.

 

Retech, basically, if you take a class skill level, it costs 1 skill point, wheras if you take anything else, it costs 2 skill points.

Maximum rank in a class skill is [character level]+3 ranks, for a non-class skill, it's half this number.

Gah, now I'm confused.

I'm still not sure, because I've never actually played 4E, in truth. I only have any experience with 3.5E, and I don't really want to learn new systems and such...

Question for any DnD veteran:

If I spend two skill ponts (1 for class skill) on a skill, how does it benefit me? Does it improve your rolls (and by how much) or increase "levels", which would lead to the question, how do levels improve rolls.

 

Then I keep reading about this DC stuff, and I'm confused. :(

Anywho, no spells included because the generator didn't include spells and I don't like the dnd20 site(though was useful, I still don't like it :roll: )

They increase your roll by whatever level they are...So...

 

Concentration

Based off of Constitution, so +3

With 4 levels in skill points, so +4

So +7 overall....

 

 

So if I need 16 to stay concentrating on casting a spell, I only need to roll a 9, rather than needing to roll a 13...
