Faux
I really enjoyed Casino, the Departed, Goodfellas, Sopranos (TV), The Wire (TV) and the Godfather Didn't really like the Untouchables because of Costner's weak show. Same with Road to Perdition, was a tad too slow. :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::
pfilc23
I assume you've seen Donnie Brasco and Carlito's Way as well? It's been a long time, but I remember Miller's Crossing being pretty good too, but maybe kinda slow. Is Heat considered a Mob movie? Of course, there's also the other obvious ones like Scarface, Bonnie and Clyde, and Once Upon a Time in America
indy500fan
Once Upon a Time in America is usually the one I choose as my favourite of them, but in reality I haven't watched any of them more than once and not recently.
Faux
Haven't seen any of those movies except for Scarface. Forgot about that. I'll look into watching those  :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::

AndyPandy
There's always Public Enemies...god damn are car chases in old timey cars with guys on the side shooting with tommy guns awesome. What is it like? I wanna see it, but I'm not sure how good it is. So don't let anyone tell you you're not worth the earth, These streets are your streets, this turf is your turf, Don't let anyone tell you that you've got to give in, Cos you can make a difference, you can change everything, Just let your dreams be your pilot, your imagination your fuel, Tear up the book and write your own damn rules, Use all that heart, hope and soul that you've got, And the love and the rage that you feel in your gut, And realise that the other world that you're always looking for, Lies right here in front of us, just outside this door, And it's up to you to go out there and paint the canvas, After all, you were put on the earth to do this, So shine your light so bright that all can see, Take pride in being whoever the [bleep] you want to be. stevepole
One of my favorite genres in film. The Departed, is currently, my favorite movie. If your really into crime film though, I would recommend checking out the new French film A Prophet. I've yet to see it, mostly because I don't want to watch a foreign film in a theater so I'm waiting for its dvd release, but it is suppose to be really good. mcneilp
I'm more into the London gangster films like Lock, Stock and Two smoking barrels/Snatch, that kind of thing. Scarface was good though. It isn't in the castle, It isn't in the mist, It's a calling of the waters, As they break to show, The new Black Death, With reactors aglow, Do you think your security, Can keep you in purity, You will not shake us off above or belowScottish frictionScottish fiction
Faux
Ah yeah forgot about those films. Both of those were great. Didn't really like rocknrolla that much though. Other movies I forgot were Usual Suspects (just amazing. it's a crime not to see it), L.A. Confidential (combo of pearce, crowe and spacey at their best), and We Own the Night (weak, but still enjoyable) Another film on my list is Gangs of New York. How much do I love scorsese? :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::
