Jad Healers

Featured Replies

Ok, well Jad did NOT damage to me until the healers came. When they showed up i got overwhelmed, scared and idk. I hit them all so they were attracted to me but jad was still being healed. Jad spawned at the southeast spot. I tried to get them all on me but when they got on my I was too busy switching to line them up. I ended up dying while trying to move the healers.

What can I do next time to make the healers easier? Should I bring a pair of barrows legs to get more melee defense? I was using karils skirt in my previous run.

EDIT: If I attack the healers once, just so they are "looking" at me, do they still heal jad, even if they are on the other side of him?

what i'm doing now:

I believe the healers have to be more than one square away from jad in order to stop them from healing him.

Firemaking cape 12/22/08 & Range cape 10/07/09

Quest cape 12/10/09 & Agility cape 8/13/10

Just hit them again and lure them away from jad

If they heal again, hit them all once again

Switch to torag legs

Remember to relax like you dont really care (it works well for me)

I find it helps to just focus on prayer, make sure you're using the F3 shortcut to access your prayer book, I found that a HUGE help (the first time I used that shortcut I won), always have one finger on F3 for quick prayer changing. Just focus on switching prayers and hit the healers when you can instead of focusing on the healers. That's what I did. To get into a position where only one can hit you you can just get them to follow you and keep moving one square north, this should get them in a line. The first time I did fight caves, I ran out of brews and it ended up being a race between whether I could kill Jad faster than the healers could kill me, was pretty exciting.

Click the pic if you wanna see a Ranged Slayer blog.

If you are high ranging you can just keep attacking Jad and disregard the healers entirely. It is very possible to outhit their heals.

If you want to stop them from healing Jad you need to get them angry at you and then move so that none of them are directly adjacent to him.

what bolts do u need for that and how much longer does that make the jad kill lol?

Well I was using runite bolts, didn't actually take that long. Jad has low defence and the healers don't really heal that much. It probably took me less time than it would take me to lure the healers. I'm 99 ranging and herblore, though. I was using:

Guthan's helm

Accumulator

Fury

Runite Bolts

Rune Crossbow

Spectral Spirit Shield

Armadyl Chestplate

Armadyl Plateskirt

Barrows Gloves

Dragon Boots (I melee'd the caves, don't make fun of me)

Berserker Ring (same as above)
