The most frustrating thing is that these bands classify themselves in the wrong genre and all their bios say "Sick of hearing the same stuff? "Insert name" is the most unique band out there bringing something new to the table, stuff you've never heard before." Yet, it's stuff I've heard a million times before. Occasionally somone will link to an ok band. Someone I might pay ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã5 to see at a gig with a bunch of other bands but thats it. If you looking for a band where you wont be able to buy there music anywhere or just want to hear what they sound like purevolume will have it and its free. It's a real shame though because as soon as a band is posted as a featured band it becomes popular everywhere. People are treating it like mtv these days, but think they're finding bands no one listens to. How is that "uberly mainsteam" because i think that most of the bands there are crap? Its my personal opinion and I listen to several bands on there. Ill give the featured one a listen and people are always linking to bands from irc. Only the other day Rob posted a link to a band which i thought were really good. But it doesnt change the fact that imo the majority of the bands on there sound like the Wyld Stallion (before they got good) You are the one making a fool of yourself by making out that Purevolume is this really underground music resource.
